Hulloooooo Andy!

Goodness, have we ALL been swept away by Real Life? We've not heard hair nor hide from you in ages. Well, I just hope your ride in Real Life lacks quite the theatrics my last year entailed, and that you are doing well. May happiness and prosperity be yours.
Just checking in ~ Cheers ~

Hi Andy,
I haven't scrawled in a while. I heard that you are interested in Native American culture. Do you think that you might ever be involved in the making of a movie on the First People? I would love to see more movies on Native Americans. I know that Robert Redford has been involved in some of these Native movies, as well as Chris Eyre and other Natives, but it wouldn't hurt for other interested parties who have influence in Hollywood to get involved in bringing us stories about the first people of our country. I look on t.v. and I don't see enough Native people. I did enjoy the PBS movie "Skinwalkers", based on the Tony Hillerman novel. But Native American's on television are just to few and far between. I would love to hear your opinion on this. Thank you, and I enjoy all of your work as well. LOL

Afternoon, Andy. Just dropped in to say that I finally got a copy of "The Meeksville Ghost" and I loved it. I enjoy happy movies like that-really helps to unwind.
Hope to see you in more things-some dramas to go along with this one.
Perhaps in the next project, you can not get hit in the head so much. I was beginning to fear brain damage in 'Meeksville'
Keep up the good work and if you're ever in north Texas, drop on by-the door's always open (just watch out for the dog-she'll lick ya to death.)

Maybe a bit of Doogie Hauser there, but you really need to be going places. You do have what it takes and you will be in a big movie with Julia Roberts in no time. Take care, Mike

Greetings to Andy and all, from the sagebrush country;

What is the sound of history happening? Is it the deadly rumble of jet engines overhead, and the shuddering, flashing boom of explosions in the dark? Or is it our own humble voices, saying hello, saying I love you, saying goodbye? This morning the other shoe dropped, the tight, brittle waiting of past weeks was finally broken ... and we all stare into that awful unknown. Together. That's the thing we have to hold onto, I think. That we are none of us alone. We did not want this fight, but we got it. We did not ask for it, but they brought it to us. Now, we must remember that we have faith, we have each other, we have those whom we care for and love. Try to draw your courage and strength from that, my friends, however and wherever you find it. Reach out. Write letters. Call. Touch. That way, nobody is left scared and alone.
Courage and prayers,

Gloria Atwater

Greetings all, once again,

I'm not in the habit of echoing others, but Karin, thank you for sharing your heartfelt words, and the reminders you offer. Truly we must remember, despite our grief and shock and anger, NOT to become as those who conceived of and carried out this unthinkable act; full of hate. We must remember this image from New York; that the faces on the street were ALL colors, all races and creeds, and all Americans. There is no religion which condones what we see before us. Now is the time that we must reach across the barriers we so easily throw between us. NYC is showing us a unified spirit possibly unseen since the London Blitz; we as a nation must do no less. Please forgive if I sound preachy, and Andy, I hope you'll pardon my using your wall thus. Before I head back to work, I simply wish to echo the voices of calm and steadfastness and wisdom, to urge that we as Americans show the world only the best that we can be.

Andy, word is that you got home safe and your family is well, for which I am truly glad.
Peace and prayers,

Gloria M. Atwater

Day 3...I've just sent my husband off to work and in a few short hours will be getting my three children up to get ready for school. My sadness and anger grow. I have seen tragedy before, I've seen dead, but this...It's unimaginable. My grief has overwhelmed me, I find myself glued to CNN and MSNBC in hopes of hearing more have been found alive and pulled from the great destruction...that my fellow firefighters and police, my borthers and sisters, have been found. Then I realize that I consider all these victims my brothers and sisters, that I witnessed 100's maybe 1000's die that day and my stomach churns, as if this happened to ME...and then it hits me...it DID happen to ME...it happened to us. Our country was attacked, in a most cowardly way. I've also grown scared...scared of what will happen now. WAR? What is life going to be like for my children? Never in my life did I think that this would happen...and so close to home...terrorist passing through Portlnd Jet Port to catch a flight to Boston...Portland, Maine! Alas, we are Americans...all who are here. No matter the color, religion, the sexuasl orientation...we as American's MUST remember and realize...this was not a religious act! This was an act of terrorism and great cowardice, not by religion, not by race, but of individuals...people, with great diregard of life. Please, please, please remember this. We need to stand united, not dish out injustices to those who share the same beliefs that the murderer's do. God Bless us all and God Bless the U.S.

Oh, the evil men perform, and how Heaven must weep this day. Andy, it occurs to me that you might still have family in New York state, and if so, I hope none of them were involved in today's unspeakable tragedy in Manhattan. This is a day off at home for me, from our summer working in the mountains, and it's hard to make that gut-wrenching step from riding amongst God's alpine grandure, to grasping the horric scenes here on my TV. May those you love be safe.
