Size Does Matter

by Luna Dey and Lady Viper

Part of the Just When You Thought... collection.

Author’s Note: This is what happens when you turn Lady Viper and me both loose late at night, with thoughts of Mag 7 guys and her demented mind. LOL (You told me to say that LV) It is definitely a PWP piece, based solely on a conversation between five of the seven as overheard by Miss Casey Wells.

Disclaimer: I do not own them. They are the property of MGM, Mirisch, and Trilogy Entertainment; however, if they ever come up for sale, I will be in the front row at the auction.

Feedback: Feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated, but no flames please.

Casey watched the numbers change on the display above the elevator doors and sighed with impatience. The members of team seven had been on assignment, and even though Ezra was the one who went undercover, JD had to work a lot of long hours in the surveillance van. She hadn't had a chance to spend some real time alone with him in weeks. Now that the bust was over they had made plans for a nice night out, and then they were going back to her place for some private time. She smiled to herself at the thought.

At last the elevator reached the floor she needed. She stepped out quickly and headed for their office a few doors down the hall. It was late and the other offices had already been vacated for the weekend. The place sounded so empty and her soft-soled shoes did nothing to break the silence as she moved down the empty hallway. Just as she reached for the doorknob she heard several male voices that were obviously involved in a somewhat heated discussion.

Buck firmly stated, "I use Jumbo, it's a bit harder to use sometimes, but it fits the job."

"Why use Jumbo when you can use a butterfly?" Chris asked. "I much prefer non slip."

"Well, there's always the coated ones, vinyl comes in a rainbow of colors, " Vin commented.

"Never really understood the need for colors," JD said.

Casey's mouth dropped open and her cheeks grew hot with embarrassment. Surely they weren't talking about that, not here in the office.

"Well, I still prefer Jumbo, Smalls just don't fit," Buck said again.

"Well, they would fit if you didn't try to stuff so much in them," Vin quipped.

"My personal preference is the gold tone. I find them more pleasing and tend to use them the most," Ezra commented. "Though sometimes suction cups work best."

"Suction cups? They make them with suction cups?" JD asked surprised.

"Just cuz JD uses the small ones, doesn't mean he's less adequate," Chris offered.

"But, he gets the job done," Vin finished.

Casey pulled back and stared at the door. Just how would Vin know what JD was capable of? Well, she could certainly tell them a thing or two, but she knew she could never mention such things to these men.

"Who you calling inadequate? I'll have you know I've used Jumbo a few times," JD spat.

Casey smiled and whispered, "You tell 'em, JD."

"Well, I'd believe medium maybe but not Jumbo," Buck snickered.

"Shows what you know. JD was never a medium," Casey commented under her breath.

"Well, I see no need for extra small," Chris commented.

"Well, I can always use an extra large," Ezra said.

"Hey, now that's my area. I use the extra larges," Buck growled.

"I think it's too late Buck. Ezra took the ones you had hidden, the Jumbo ones," Vin grinned.

"Hell, Ezra took most of my Jumbos the other day," Chris said.

"You can't be using that many. You stock piling, Ez? " JD asked.

"Yeah well what about that stash I saw in your drawer the other day?" Buck inquired.

JD stuttered --- "I plan on using them, --- real soon."

"Oh he does, does he?" Casey blushed and stifled a small gasp. "He might be in for a big surprise next time he wants to use one." She couldn't believe he was telling them something so personal.

"I want some of those suction ones Ez talked about. Do the clips clamp tight enough? Don't want them to fall off," JD stated.

Chris held up his hand. "Ok, I've had enough of this."

"We need to decide on a size that works for all of us," Vin added.

"I just know I want the magnetic ones," Chris commented.

Casey's brows furrowed in confusion. "Magnetic? He has to be kidding? Why would they need to be magnetic?"

"Well, I say we order an assortment, so we can all try them together," JD offered.

Casey's mouth dropped open in shock, and she decided she had heard enough of this. JD could just entertain himself with his friends if he was going to act like this. She turned to hurry back to the elevator. Just as she turned, she ran head on into Josiah on his way back to the office.

Josiah looked at Casey, "You here to meet up with JD?"

"Uhhhh -- yes," she said somewhat reluctantly.

She found herself ushered into the room ahead of Josiah, just in time to hear Chris Larabee's next comment.

"I give up. You guys decide what assorted paper clips you want; I've had it." He tossed the office max catalog on the table.

"PAPERCLIPS? You guys were talking about paperclips?" Casey stuttered.

"Well darlin', just what did you think we were talking about?" Buck questioned.

JD tilted his head, thinking back. Then smiled wickedly. "Oooh! -- Casey -- you should be ashamed."
