Not on the Menu

For Judy.

Thanks to Suzy for the beta read.

"So, can you make it or not?"

"I said I'd try, Vin," Chris replied. "Travis is already in a tizzy about this budget meeting coming up. If we don't have ours on his desk first thing in the morning, he'll have my ass."

"Don't think I like the sound of that, Cowboy."

Chris smirked and shook his head. "I don't either, Vin. But the more you talk to me now, the longer it's gonna take me to get it done, so shoo!"

"I'm shooin', I'm shooin'," Vin replied with a smile, backing out of Chris's office.

"How's it goin', Chris?" Vin asked, entering the doorway to the office and leaning on the doorjamb.

"It's getting there," Chris replied tiredly, wiping his hands down his face.

"You gonna be able to make dinner?"

"You've really got a hard on for this dinner, haven't you?" Chris asked, shaking his head.

"Hey, if you don't want to go, just say so," Vin replied, somewhat defensively. "I just figured since we're startin' up on the Rushman case tomorrow night, and won't have too many nights available for a few weeks, we oughtta take advantage..."

"I know, Vin," Chris said, rising from his desk and meeting Vin at the doorway. He took a quick look into the office area before gently cupping Vin's cheek with his hand. "I'll be there," he whispered.

Vin smiled and leaned into the caress. "You better be. Ain't often I'm willin' to spend that much money on feedin' ya," he said.

Chris turned the caress into a gentle slap and shook his head. "Get outta here, Vin. I'll see you later."

Vin turned on his heel and headed toward the office's exit. "Remember, Cowboy, six-thirty! Sharp!" he called back to Chris.

"I'll be there, don't worry," Chris replied, watching as Vin headed to the elevators.

He gave a little smile, liking what he saw -Vin's ass - then returned his attention to the budget report.

Chris checked his watch again. It was practically 6:30; Vin was going to be pissed, but there was no helping it. Travis came to his office to personally make sure he was working on the budget and that it was going to be done on time. Luckily, he'd just been going over it again, making sure things were correct when the AD had shown up, but he'd still wound up spending almost an hour with the man, going over it, despite the fact that they'd be doing the same thing in the morning.

He didn't even bother trying to call Vin to let him know he was on his way, or that he might be a tad late; wasn't worth it.

So when he stepped up to Vin's apartment door and gave it a knock, he was totally unprepared to be pulled into the apartment by a shower-damp, half-dressed, tooth-brushing, apologizing Vin.

"Sorry, Chris," Vin said around the toothbrush. "Got caught up fixing the damn Jeep and then Nettie needed me to stop by and... hell! I'll be ready in a minute."

Chris didn't even get a word in before Vin retreated to the bathroom and bedroom to finish getting ready. A few minutes later, Vin returned, fingers combing through his wet hair, trying to put it into some semblance of order.

"You ready?" he asked Chris, rushing past him and heading for the door.

"I guess I am," Chris muttered in reply and followed, locking the door behind him.

The two were seated promptly, arriving just barely on time for their reservation. The hostess handed them menus and pointed out the wine list before she left.

Chris looked around appreciatively. The restaurant had an interesting atmosphere to it. The tables were oak, with an eclectic assortment of upholstered wing chairs and couches surrounding them. Tiffany styled lamps hung from the ceilings here and there, giving them enough light to see, yet it was still dark enough to seem... intimate. The music and the menu were what made the place Italian, though. Light, lively folk music, heavy on the accordion, played over the speakers as Chris perused the menu, already picking out an entree that included some penne a la vodka.

"See anything you like?" Vin asked, looking up from his menu.

"A few things,” Chris said, nodding. “But I think I’ll have some of the penne."

"I’m leanin’ toward the Tortellini Alfredo, though."

Chris just replied with a short, terse head shake. “You always get that when we go Italian. Try something new. Get adventurous.”

"Adventurous, you say?” Vin asked. “Hmmm.... maybe I’ll add some chicken to it.”

Chris just rolled his eyes. He was about to make a suggestion when the waitress showed up. She took their orders and set some bread and butter out on the table for them, along with some water.

"So how'd you find this place?" Chris asked. "Not your usual MO."

"Buck told me about it," Vin replied. "Said he got took here a few weeks ago by one of his dates; had a real nice time."

"Wait a minute," Chris spoke up. "You talking about that date he had with Judy?" Chris asked. "The one he did in the rest room?"

The two men looked to the rear of the restaurant, toward the single, uni-sex bathroom.

"I thought it was them other girls he was talkin' about in the bathroom, what were their names? Peggy? Madeline?" Vin asked.

"Well, no matter the names, I remember him mentioning the big bathroom at the Italian restaurant and getting three kinds of lucky in it," Chris said.

The waitress returned with their drinks, beer for both of them.

"Three kinds of lucky with three different women. That's our Buck!" Vin exclaimed, raising his beer glass in a toast.

Chris raised his in return.

The two men talked amicably, eating the breads and salads brought out to them as they waited for the main courses. At one point, Vin excused himself and headed for the aforementioned rest room. Chris watched him go, once again keeping his eyes on a certain part of Vin's anatomy.

A few minutes later, Vin returned, a smile on his face.

Curiosity got the better of Chris and he had to ask, "What's with the smile."

"I think we both might be right. I think Buck coulda done all three of 'em in there at once!" Vin exclaimed with a laugh.

Chris shook his head and laughed along with him, then said, "So then there's room for both of us in there, right?" He put his hand under the table and onto Vin's thigh for emphasis.

"To get... adventurous?" Vin asked in a low voice. “I think so.”

The waitress chose that moment to arrive with their dinners. The two men heartily dug into their respective meals, trading lustful glances over dripping sauces. When the meal was done, the dishes removed and check left, Vin reached for his wallet. And didn't find it.

"Son of a bitch!" he swore under his breath.

"What's the matter?" Chris asked.

"In that damn rush to get here on time, I left my wallet in my other jacket. God dammit!" he swore again.

"It's okay, Vin," Chris said. "I'll take care of it," he added, reaching for his own wallet.

"I'm sorry, Chris," Vin went on. "This was supposed to be my treat, my way of givin' you a night out before the shit hits the fan at work..."

"Vin, stop," Chris interrupted, putting his hand over Vin's. "I'll take care of it. And... you can pay me back."

"I'll pay you back when we get to the apartment and I get my wallet," Vin went on, still flustered.

"How about paying me back now?"

"I don't have my wallet, Chris, remember?" Vin retorted, not catching the tone of Chris's voice.

"I'm not talking about money, Vin," Chris said, nodding his head toward the rear of the restaurant.

Vin had opened his mouth to say one thing, but then stopped, getting the meaning of Chris's words. A sly smile broke out on his face. "I'll meet you there," he said instead, rising from the table.

"Don't start without me," Chris replied, and called the waitress over, waving his credit card in the air.

When Vin heard the "shave and a haircut" rap on the rest room door, he opened it quickly, admitting Chris inside. Then he found himself quickly turned around and shoved against the door, Chris's lips on his and Chris's fingers finding the door's lock and engaging it.

"What took ya so long, Cowboy?" he asked.

"Problem with the credit card machine or something. But I'm here now, that's what matters," Chris replied, reaching for Vin's belt and initiating another kiss.

Vin reached for Chris's waistband as well, unbuttoning and unzipping the tight jeans and reaching inside once they were open. Chris's tongue dove into his mouth with a groan and thrust in time with Vin's hand motions on his cock.

"That didn't take much," Vin remarked on Chris's readiness, and then let out a moan of his own as Chris's fingers found and fondled his own cock.

"Must be some kind of aphrodisiac in that Italian food," Chris replied. "You ready for hard and fast?"

"Always," Vin replied, letting his pants drop to his knees and turning to put his hands on the sink and lean over it. He looked up into the ornate, gold framed wooden mirror above it and asked, "You got lube?"

Chris held up his hand so Vin could see in the reflection what he had, a couple of foil wrapped butter pats.

“We’ve used stranger things,” Vin remarked.

“In stranger places,” Chris added.

Vin smiled and let out a sigh as he felt Chris’s greasy fingers push the butter pat around and into him.

“That’s it, Cowboy,” he whispered.

Both men let out quiet, satisfied groans as Chris pushed the slippery head of his cock into Vin’s hole.

“Shit, Vin, you feel so good,” Chris murmured, slowly inching his way in. “So goddamn tight!”

“Quit sweet talkin’ me, Larabee and fuck me already!” Vin exclaimed, shoving his ass back, pulling Chris all the way in.

“That’s right, you’ve got some dinner to pay for, don’tcha?” he replied, pulling out and shoving his cock back into Vin with a little more force.

Vin looked up into the mirror and watched as Chris bit his bottom lip, holding in the sounds of his pleasure; saw his own open-mouthed expression before needing to shut his eyes tight against his own pleasure and pain mixture as Chris began pounding into him with earnest now.

Chris enjoyed the look of pure ecstasy he saw on Vin’s face, reflected in the mirror. He’d been dreaming of Vin’s ass most of the day, when not having to concentrate on the damn report.

This was his reward. This man, hot and heavy sex with him in a restaurant’s rest room, knowing there were people outside the door, maybe knowing what they were doing; maybe not. Another hard thrust and he got Vin to break his silence, the younger man crying out and gripping the sink tighter. The sight of Vin’s neck reflected in the mirror, his head thrown back, cum spurting into the sink, sent Chris over the edge and with one last powerful thrust, he came.

Chris pulled Vin back against him, both men straightening somewhat, and kissed the edge of his jaw.

“That was for dinner. I’ll take care of dessert at your place when we get there,” he whispered, eliciting a sly smile from Vin.

The two men cleaned themselves up and exited the rest room together, Vin winking at the young blonde woman waiting patiently outside the door.

She gave them a knowing smile and wink of her own before entering the rest room and leaving them behind.

“This was a nice restaurant, Vin,” Chris said as he got into his truck. “We’ll have to thank Buck.”

“Yeah, I think he’s takin’ Suzy there next week,” Vin replied. “Maybe we should get him a gift certificate.”
